LIFE Pittsburgh McKees Rocks
RJS converted a former Big Lots into a 35,000 sq. ft. day health center for LIFE Pittsburgh. The project included a new roof, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The façade was entirely changed including adding windows into half of the front elevation. To perform this work we had to temporarily support the roof structure while we removed the block bearing walls. We then added in steel columns and beams to support the roof and took out the temporary supports. A new drive thru drop off was added to the front of the building. The build-out consisted of a full service kitchen, six showers, six exam rooms, a rehab room, a training room, sixteen bath rooms and two recreational rooms.
